My sister Lillian taught me this pretty well-known game, which helped cure some boredom on summer vacation drives along the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

In a moving car, players can observe letters on anything outside of the car (e.g., street signs, buildings, license plates, etc.). The winner is the first person to spot every letter in the alphabet, in alphabetical order. In other words, you cannot count a sighting of the letter "B" until you've already spotted an "A".

It's played somewhat on honor code (since everybody would move at the same pace if people announced letters before they'd passed), but it's fun if players announce their progress through the alphabet and how they are spotting each letter (after the sign has passed).
